Pigeons and Burgers on Caledonia Road

I like Caledonia Road. Sitting at St. Clair is the immortal Dairy Freeze. I haven't been in a while, mainly because of the fact that I usually need a bath when I get home. It's the hangover lure for a cure that makes me crave a Dairy Freeze burger and fries with gravy. The deadpan, irritable face of the Greek man dressing my burger, for some strange reason, makes this experience that much more mouthwatering. Bring your pretty girlfriend, it may crack a smile. Don't ever leave us Dairy Freeze, save your recipes on a hard disk for backup just in case.

I don't know what it is man, I just have this affinity for the pigeon. I think because they remind me of myself when I was 16, causing trouble, eating scraps and smoking cigarettes.

"But pigeon droppings cause Histoplasmosis and Cryptococcosis!" Oh boohoo, dry your eyes.

I think they are quite elegant as well. That's why this mural under the bridge at Davenport and Caledonia is cherished by me. A couple of artists put this thing together a few years back. I hope it has the same life expectancy as Dairy Freeze.
