And listen to these two wax poetic. Sit down conversation with DJ Premier and Pete Rock from Japan. It's storytime with two of the greatest. You can see the history and respect between the two of them as they critique each other's sounds and recollect on working with greats such as Biggie, Nas, Guru, PE and more. Check out the consecutive yawns by Pete Rock, either he's heard Preemo's stories time and time again or he's just jetlagged. I assume the latter. This is dope! Taken from www.djpremierblog.com
Truly inspirational. If you love skateboarding as much as I do, then this is a must-see. Consider this my Christmas gift to you. This short film is so beautifully done it captures the raw dedication and focus of the young main character, Nassim Guammaz to become a professional skateboarder. The kid is fluid with his style, killing contests, transition and anything that stands in his way streetwise. And the maturity and responsibility he transcends is much to be admired. I wish I could embed the whole flick for you, but not possible. Please check this short trailer and go here to see the full length.
Started getting tired of trying to place my rubber covered iPhone into my pocket recently. Lose all your coins or headphones when you reached for a call. Fuck that. So I decided to cop this denim slide case from MS & Co. out of Portland, America. Just arrived today and I'm pretty happy about it.Made in the USA.
I am a proud Canadian. Just like all other Canucks, I am a big fan of manners and I play by the rules. But Hockey is shit, I don't care about Hockey (sorry Jojo, I still like you though). So whenever I get a chance to buy Canadian made products, I give it a try. Something about seeing the words "Made in Canada" just makes me all mushy inside and makes me want to cry a little bit. Anyway, if you like comfy fleece and clean, simple designs check out Reigining Champ. I bought one their hoodys a few years back and that thing is like a brick, I will have it forever. So I figured I would try them again with this Recycled Fleece Pullover. Yes, recycled fleece. Once again, a worthwhile purchase. Check them out here: http://www.reigningchamp.com/blog/
Now I have heard good things about this Naked & Famous Denim out of Montreal. They use Japanese denim and the manufacturing is done in Canada, dope. The good thing is that they are inexpensive, so I copped a pair. No corny back pocket decal, no distressed wash, no rhinestones up and down the fucken pant leg. Here is a quote from founder Brandon Svarc: "Our philosophy is simple: we use an expensive and superior denim fabric, but keep it raw and simple (no washes, no treatments, no advertising, no celebrity giveaways) so we can sell it for less." I hope I enjoy these denims. Check them out here: http://www.nakedandfamousdenim.com/
No Age fucked it up last night at the Great Hall. My ears are still ringing. I'm scared I might have permanent damage. I like this band alot. I think they skate, I think they're down with Ed Templeton. He took their photo once. We caught the show sitting on the side of the stage. It's gonna be a long day, here are some pictures. I hope you like.
MARKHAM - A stupefying discovery by the Markham Institute of Astrology has astounded the local community with news of a solar system that can only be viewed by the City of Markham inhabitant coordinates. "It caught us off guard, we scrambled to find meaning and we were slow to believe the truth, but then after all the hubbub, we were fighting over the telescope, we all wanted to look," said Hong Lim, head of the MIA Discoveries Ward. "It was just so calming, it felt like I was nestled under a warm blanket when I gazed at the newly found planets."
For the time being, the new solar system has been given a few different names, from "The Maddomensphere." to "Uncle Ronny's Legion of Planets" even to "I am a Real Man and this is My Solar System."
"We're thinking of having a contest with the local elementary school, see who comes up with the coolest name," said Hong Lim.
