Every Arnold Scream, Ever

Made in Canada

I am a proud Canadian. Just like all other Canucks, I am a big fan of manners and I play by the rules. But Hockey is shit, I don't care about Hockey (sorry Jojo, I still like you though). So whenever I get a chance to buy Canadian made products, I give it a try. Something about seeing the words "Made in Canada" just makes me all mushy inside and makes me want to cry a little bit. Anyway, if you like comfy fleece and clean, simple designs check out Reigining Champ. I bought one their hoodys a few years back and that thing is like a brick, I will have it forever. So I figured I would try them again with this Recycled Fleece Pullover. Yes, recycled fleece. Once again, a worthwhile purchase. Check them out here: http://www.reigningchamp.com/blog/

Now I have heard good things about this Naked & Famous Denim out of Montreal. They use Japanese denim and the manufacturing is done in Canada, dope. The good thing is that they are inexpensive, so I copped a pair. No corny back pocket decal, no distressed wash, no rhinestones up and down the fucken pant leg.
Here is a quote from founder Brandon Svarc: "Our philosophy is simple: we use an expensive and superior denim fabric, but keep it raw and simple (no washes, no treatments, no advertising, no celebrity giveaways) so we can sell it for less."
I hope I enjoy these denims. Check them out here: http://www.nakedandfamousdenim.com/

Randy and Dean are No Age

No Age fucked it up last night at the Great Hall. My ears are still ringing. I'm scared I might have permanent damage. I like this band alot. I think they skate, I think they're down with Ed Templeton. He took their photo once. We caught the show sitting on the side of the stage. It's gonna be a long day, here are some pictures. I hope you like.

This Might Be My Favorite Album

So go and fuck yourself ok.

Uncle Ronny's Solar System

MARKHAM - A stupefying discovery by the Markham Institute of Astrology has astounded the local community with news of a solar system that can only be viewed by the City of Markham inhabitant coordinates. "It caught us off guard, we scrambled to find meaning and we were slow to believe the truth, but then after all the hubbub, we were fighting over the telescope, we all wanted to look," said Hong Lim, head of the MIA Discoveries Ward. "It was just so calming, it felt like I was nestled under a warm blanket when I gazed at the newly found planets."

For the time being, the new solar system has been given a few different names, from "The Maddomensphere." to "Uncle Ronny's Legion of Planets" even to "I am a Real Man and this is My Solar System."

"We're thinking of having a contest with the local elementary school, see who comes up with the coolest name," said Hong Lim.

My Fave Book Series

A quote I enjoyed up to this point:
"...At the time, Chuck D was especially upset that people weren't considering rap music "music." He recalled a radio interview during which George Harrison called rap "computerized rot." Said Chuck D, "If it were Lennon or McCartney, I would have felt dissed."
This book focuses on the production of the Bomb Squad rather than the political charge of Chuck D. Should be a good read, 33 1/3 always does it proper.

A Garlic in the Hand is Worth Two in China

Ran into this Farmer's Market in the Queen's Quay Terminal today. I asked the friendly woman what the deal was and she mentioned it was something involving proceeds going to United Way. That's good. Honestly, I don't usually contribute because I'd rather give my toonie straight to the homeless dude. Makes me feel better that we are doing a hand to hand connection. But that's besides the point.

I was taken aback a few weeks ago when I was unloading my groceries and noticed my garlic came from China. Fe real, China. I've come to grips that most of my gear is made in China, but I didn't know I was fuckin with their produce too. So you could imagine the delight when I noticed a basket of garlic at this little market, Ontario grown at that. I was so joyous at the site of these tennis ball (exaggeration, but pretty close) sized cloves. $2 a piece! Damn son! I'm down. Take a look at some pics.
